GEORGE has been highlighted by the European Commission’s CORDIS platform as its latest Project of the Month. This recognition places GEORGE among a select group of EU-funded initiatives showcased for their scientific relevance, innovation, and potential impact.
CORDIS, the Community Research and Development Information Service, is the Commission’s central hub for communicating research results from EU-funded projects. Through the Project of the Month feature, CORDIS draws attention to work that advances knowledge, supports policy development, or offers promising technological breakthroughs.
The feature article, “Next-generation technologies to unravel the ocean’s carbon secrets”, introduces GEORGE’s mission to develop cutting-edge autonomous tools for observing the ocean carbon cycle. It outlines why high-quality, long-term in situ measurements are essential for understanding climate processes, tracking ocean acidification, and supporting initiatives such as the European Green Deal.
